We are now done with the 2 inner rooms and have a two story house. Now lets create the outside of the house so it looks like one side of the map 'City Street Large'. Lets begin by making the outside wall of the house. On the opposite wall from the stairs, make a line in Top View the size of the side of the house and extrude it about 700 cm. Move it so it is about 30 cm from the inside walls and the final result should look something like this:
Name the wall 'Outsidewall_front'. Lets also create the outside sides of the house so there are more places to go. So make the two side walls and connect them to the front wall. (The easiest way to do this is to clone the front wall and move and resize it using edit mesh-> vertex). Name the walls 'Outsidewall_side01' and 'Outsidewall_side02'. The final result should look like this.
Notice that I made the inside rooms be a bit higher then the bottom of the outside walls. This is exactly like in 'City Street Large', so we will have to make some 'porch' and some front steps
Begin by creating the ground around the house. Use the line tool in Top View to outline the outside walls and create the ground floor. Name it 'ground_main' and tag it as 'floorface'. Here is my ground polygon (it is not under the house, it goes around it)
Now lets make the incline in front of the house and where our future front door will be. Create a box in front of the house, bring it down so the bottom of the box touches the ground the top is even with the floor in room01. Name it 'front_block_01' and explode it. Delete the bottom polygon and the polygon touching the house (both not visible, so this saves some polygons to improve performace). Tag the top of the block as 'floorface'.
Now lets make stairs going up the porch. Make them as fancy as you want, but for this example I will just make them the similar way as before. Make the zigzag, extrude, and build the sides of the stairs. Here are what my stairs look like.
Part 6: Connecting the outside with the inside.
This should not be anything difficualt right now. Just boolean out the front door. I included the doorway in room01, and so made a portal from room01 to room04 (the outside will be called room04 = _04)
